How does a 0% purchase credit card work?

A 0% purchase credit card offers interest free purchases using your credit card for a set period. Once this expires any outstanding balance and any new purchases will incur interest at the standard rate advertised for the credit card.

You can use a credit card with a zero interest rate to purchase goods or services and not have to pay any interest on this until the promotional period ends. If you can pay off all of the balance before the end of the promotional period then you will not pay any interest costs at all.
When you compare purchase transfer credit cards on our charts we show you how long it will take to clear your credit card balance for every deal available in the UK.
